Groundworks & Installation for Skystream wind turbines

Some basic ground works are necessary to install and connect a Skystream wind turbine. These groundworks are not complicated and from experience are usually most easily and cost effectively organised by you. What is needed

1) a 2m x 2m x 1m deep concrete mast foundation
2) a 1m x 1m x 1m concrete winching block approx. 8 meters from tower base
3) a cable trench between the turbine location and the point of electrical connection (usually the domestic consumer unit / fuse box).

Usually the installer is on hand for the groundworks, to ensure that the foundations have been done correctly. The groundworks should be completed two-three weeks before installation and commissioning.

Once the groundworks are finished, the installation and commissioning of a Skystream 3.7 should take no more than two days, and in some cases may take just a day.
